The Challenge
Nonprofit information is distributed across large public datasets, financial filings, local opportunities, payment systems, and media content. Broken Shepherds needed to turn these separate sources into a trustworthy experience where users could evaluate organizations, understand how funds are used, donate securely, and access investigative programming.
The Solution
In partnership with The Creative Bomb, The Blue Box created iOS, Android, and web experiences supported by a NestJS backend. Google Document AI processes IRS Form 990 information to automate nonprofit onboarding, Nuvei supports card and ACH donations, and Mux provides protected streaming with DRM support.
